  • WHY CHOOSE JOINTS?
    • unique quadruple action Veterinary Formula developed over 25 years
    • proven in clinical veterinary practice
    • 100% natural, human food grade ingredients
    • NO fillers, preservatives, synthetic ingredients or chemical additives of any kind
    • NO ‘loading’ dose required
    • fast acting with visible benefits typically seen within weeks, sometimes days
  • HIDDEN CHANGES WARNING OF STIFFNESS & LOSS OF MOBILITY AHEAD

Age related degenerative joint changes typically begin in many dogs from 6 years of age onwards (often earlier in medium and large breeds).

    These include:

    • loss of elasticity of the articular cartilage (which over time can become brittle and develop fissures / splits)
    • thinning of lubricating joint fluid (which becomes more like water than engine oil)
    • stiffening of supporting ligaments
    • weakening of surrounding muscles and bones

Although in the early stages these deteriorations in joint structures can’t be seen, they will inevitably impact mobility, activity and quality of life over time.

Fortunately, early supplementation with Joints helps the body to maintain mobile and flexible joints, far better than it would be able to without.

And this is highly beneficial for any dog approaching middle age.

  • CRUCIATE LIGAMENTS

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) damage / rupture is common in dogs, especially in medium and large breeds.

This typically causes the affected knee to become:

    • unstable
    • inflamed and
    • painful

Surgery is frequently undertaken to restore limb function and prevent further injury to the joint, which over time can adversely affect mobility.

To ensure a rapid return to full limb function, and minimise the onset of stiffness later on in life, it is important to provide the best possible natural support during and after convalescence.

This can be done as follows:

    Recuperation

Give 2-3 drops 3 times daily following surgery, and continue until normal activity is resumed, which is typically 6-12 weeks (may be longer for some dogs).

    This:

    • aids self-repair
    • soothes soreness
    • relieves discomfort
    • supports a rapid return to full health

    Joints

    Add to diet daily to:

    • provide the building blocks the body needs to build healthy muscles, tendons, ligaments, bone, joints and joint lubricating 'oil'
    • support strength in the opposite knee, which ruptures in more than 50% of dogs within a few months or years of the first ACL injury

    Long Term Impact

Stiffness inevitably develops at some stage following cruciate ligament damage.

Although supplementation with Joints along with physiotherapy / hydrotherapy / canine massage can delay this for many years, additional help is often necessary as dogs age. This can be provided by giving Vince the Vet Joint Support remedy too, which naturally eases discomfort in joints and further aids ease of movement.

For the best results, give 2-3 drops three times daily.

This can be continued along with Joints indefinitely.

This is great stuff it really is! I’ve tried so many different joint supplements for my dog. My two oldest both have arthritis. Billy had double elbow surgery in December and I started Joints the day after. I’m certain the Joints helped his healing, as even the surgeon was amazed as both elbows had large fissures which had screws placed in. My older lad has chronic arthritis in most joints, and he’s now on Joints powder and Joint Support remedy, and it’s helping him I’m sure.

We have an adorable Heinz 57 from the streets of Portugal. We did a DNA test on Murphy (surprisingly cheap and very accurate) and it revealed his main breed (of 5) was Cavalier. This went some way to explaining why he was sometimes kicking his back leg out when he walked as Cavaliers have a predisposition to a 'floating patella' (literally a kneecap that slips out of place then rights itself with a quick flick). Vince recommended putting him on Joints, not only to help stabilise the joint but also to help delay the onset of arthritis in the future. Murphy's been on the Joints powder for about three years now and hasn't done his kicking and flicking dance routine once! It's a wonderful product. Thank you!

Excellent products, I have my Mastin on ‘Joints ‘ and Digestion I am over the moon with the results from both products! Long story really but I will try to make it more brief! I have three rescues, Darcy, my Spanish Mastin was in a kill shelter at 11 months, she was very lame, we adopted her and X-rays revealed a badly broken hip and tail. She went on to have a full hip replacement at 18 months old. It is a great success - both her legs are a little twisted but they work! She’s now 5. I’ve had her on other natural supplements, not wanting to give her prescription drugs until absolutely necessary but with age I thought I would have to. Then I found your Joints supplement. I can honestly say I saw a big improvement within two weeks! She is showing no sign of pain..... to the point of being somewhat naughty! Dare I say, ignoring my commands and chasing a Muntjac through the woods! She’s a big girl too at 54 kilos. I sprinkle some on my other dogs dinner too. Darcy caught a bad gastric bug that was going around to the point we went to an emergency vet as I was afraid with all that gas of bloat. She was prescribed some probiotics but I wasn’t happy as they were full of wheat, didn’t seem to help much and my dogs are raw fed. I put her on your Digestion product and we have no more gurgling stomach. I am keeping her on it too. Thank you so very much from Darcy and me.

This has returned our 4 year old cavalier King Charles Spaniel to his former active self. The onset of arthritis allied to a joint problem earlier this year had severely restricted his exercise, he went from being a happy active little dog who loved nothing more than hurtling up and down hills with a huge grin on his face, to a sad boy who had to be kept on a lead. Strong painkillers and anti inflammatory medication were not successful and we were desperate to find something. Based on reviews we bought this Joints powder. Within a couple of days our boy was brighter and more alert, three weeks on he is once again running free with no pain or after effects and we have our happy mischievous boy back. This has been nothing short of a miracle and we will continue to use this powder, it is worth every penny.

I tried this product after seeing the effect it had on a friends dog. My dog is a 10 year old Border Collie cross that had slowed down considerably. After a week on the Joints supplement she was a different dog, back to three lengthy walks a day, chasing squirrels and even playing with a ball!

"I’ve had Max on a couple of supplements for a while (did I tell you he’s 14 years 4 months old, but I have noticed he’s getting a bit stiff and limpy now and again.

I had heard good reviews on Vince the Vet Joints (and I love his stuff anyway) so decided I would get a tub and give it a go.

Crikey was I shocked! This is the result! I want what he’s having!"

Joint Support For Maximum Mobility and Flexibility - Dogs and Cats

DESCRIPTION

  • Unique Veterinary Formula developed over 40+ years which in contrast to glucosamine, chondroitin and green-lipped mussel based products which largely support cartilage only, provides the body with the nutritional building blocks for ALL musculoskeletal structures, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, bones, cartilage, fibrous supporting tissues and synovial fluid (joint lubricating 'oil').

  • 100% natural, premium quality human food grade ingredients, with NO fillers, binders, glues, lubricants, artificial flavours or colourings, GMO, chemical analogues or additives of any kind - which many supplements use and are included for the benefit of manufacturers, not pets.

  • Fast acting, quadruple action formulation often results in visible signs of improvement within a few weeks - sometimes days. Benefits seen vary from pet to pet depending on the degree and duration of stiffness or difficulty moving around, but typically include greater mobility and flexibility, easier movement, increased energy, activity and playfulness, a renewed interest in walks and other forms of exercise, better posture, and behaving like a puppy again

  • Aids healthy growth and development, which is important for all pets but especially rapidly growing puppies of medium, large and giant sized breeds, plus crossbreeds with large bones. Also supports muscle development and stamina in active and working dogs.

  • Highly beneficial for aiding convalescence and a return to full health following any musculoskeletal injury or procedure, such as cruciate repair, orthopaedic surgery, plus damage to muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and bones.  Joints is also the ideal partner to Vince the Vet Joint Support and Recuperation remedy, which further aids ease of movement.

Beverley Sunley
Q: My dog weighs 43 k how much should he have of it.
A:

A 43kg dog typically requires 2 teaspoons twice daily. Where stiffness or joint pathology is severe, a little more may be necessary - it depends on each individual dog's circumstances. The small tub (200g) is designed for cats and dogs weighing 15kg or less, and the large tub (400g) for medium and large dogs.

If there is still room for improvement after a month of supplementation, giving the Joint Support remedy too, provides additional relied of discomfort, and further aids ease of movement.

Joints and Joint Support can be purchased as a bundle for a saving of £8 here.

Sam Purt
Q: Hi, I have double rear amputee and foster others all use wheelchairs, they range from 4kg to 25kg age range 1 year to older, Would this be ok to give them all and if so how much for the 4kg dog? Most of them have ether been hit buy car's or beaten by a human and had their spines broke, so we want to make sure the remaining legs and bones get all the help they can moving forward.
A:

Hi Sam, we're so sorry to hear of your dogs injuries, you are truly an angel for helping these poor pets. Joints is the perfect choice, as it provides all the nutrients the body needs to build the healthiest possible joins, and to maintain maximum mobility and flexibility. This is especially important for dogs with the kind of problems you describe.

A 4kg dog would need 1/2 (half) a teaspoon daily, divided between meals.

If you enter the following code at checkout - MAXIMUMMOBILITY30 - it will give you a 30% discount off the single tubs of Joints (200g and 400g). This is valid until March 31st 2022 and is single use only, so it would be worth buying as much as you think you may need for the foreseeable future at once.

If at any stage any of your dogs still appear in discomfort, giving the Joint Support drops (2-3 three times daily) will further soothe sore tissues and aid ease of movement.

We hope this helps, and do let us know how you get on.

Q: Hi....my westie has chronic pancreatitis.....this won't affect that will it?....i.e....fat/carb content...
A:

Good morning Karen, and thank you for your enquiry.

Joints is very low in oils and fats (less than 2%) and has virtually no carbohydrate content. The full nutritional analysis figures can be found on the left hand side of the product page, and by expanding the panel 'Ingredients' under the heading 'The Details.'

Jane
Q: I have a 14 year old Westie who has just been put on Librella to aid his arthritis. He has been on various joint supplements for years. Is your product ok for him to use or is it too late for him to gain any benefit? As an elderly boy, he has days where he is like a spring chicken ( especially when he picks up the scent of a cat or fox) but has days where a short walk will suffice. Thank you!
A:

Hi Jane, it's never too late to try Joints and the Joint Support remedy. And both are safe to use alongside any medication prescribed by your vet.

It's best to use the two products in combination for the best results in dogs over 10 years of age, and who are either very stiff, or who have struggled with their mobility for some time.

Joints provides all the nutrients the body needs to build the healthiest possible cartilage, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, fibrous supporting tissues and joint lubricating 'oil'.

Joint Support soothes sore tissues, aids the body's natural adaptive and recuperative powers, and further aids ease of movement. See Coco's story here.

Together they provide the best possible support for maximum mobility. Do let us know how you get on.

Patricia Wright

Melanie L Quakenbush
Q: What is the difference between the supplement for joints and the remedy for joints?
A:

Hi Melanie,

Joints provides the nutrients the body needs to build the healthiest possible joints, including cartilage, ligaments, tendons, bones, fibrous supporting tissues, and joint lubricating ''oil'.

The Joint Support remedy soothes sore musculoskeletal tissues and further aids ease of movement.

Given together, the supplement and remedy support maximum mobility.

Q: My lab is 13 & struggling terribly with OA, he has an old cruciate injury which due to his advanced years has not had surgery. His vet bills & hydro are costing a lot so we don't want to spend unnecessarily. Do you feel he would get any benefit from this?
A:

Hi Denise, Joints provides highly effective, natural joint support which improves mobility and joint comfort to some degree in 90+% of cases. See Bronson here. And Darcy here.

Joana Neves
Q: Would this help a cat with arthritis?
A:

Hi Joanna, Joints is highly effective at easing stiffness, aiding ease of movement and maximising mobility in cats. And in most cases, all it takes is a quarter of a teaspoon twice daily mixed into a little wet food. Do let us know how you get on!

Caroline Hughes
Q: Hello Vince. Thanks for the worm test results. Millie is 4 year old Pom with multiple problems, dysplasia in all 4 legs, grade 4 arthritis in all 4 limbs, colitis and allergies. The vet put her on drugs with disastrous results with 30 minutes later diarrhoea followed with days of sickness and diarrhoea which resulted her being admitted on a drip. Obviously her guts cannot tolerate anti inflammatory drugs. I am now searching for something that will ease her joints as well as painkillers. She has had stem cell therapy but is still in a lot of pain and unable to walk. This has gone on since she was a puppy. I am now getting her off the anallergenic diet prescribed by her vet on to good quality tins of beef or venison. We have tried raw foods and they made colitis worse. Suggestions please. Thank you. Caroline
A:

Hi Caroline, a combination of Joints and Joint Support is best in circumstances like this. The former provides all the nutritional building blocks the body needs to create the best possible joints while the latter soothes discomfort and aids pain free movement. Together they enable maximum mobility. They can be bought as a bundle for a saving of £6 here.

Sharon
Q: Hello. I have two dachshunds (10 month and 1yr 10 months old) who are both raw fed. Would the Joints supplement be beneficial to them please? As IVDD is a problem for this breed I was wondering if supplements given at an early age may help. Thank you. Sharon
A:

Hi Sharon, yes it's beneficial to give Joints to any dog, but especially those prone to musculoskeletal issues of any kind because this supplement provides the nutritional building blocks the body needs to build and maintain the healthiest possible joints, tendons, ligaments, bones, joint fluid, cartilage and supporting fibrous tissues - including intervertebral discs.

Claire Brown
Q: Can this be used for puppies? I have a 12 week old Rottweiler and she is very tall and growing fast
A:

Hi Claire, yes it can. And it is particularly beneficial for rapidly growing large breeds, as it supplies the nutritional building blocks for the body to form the healthiest possible musculoskeletal system, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, fibrous supporting tissues, cartilage and joint lubricating 'oil' (synovial fluid).

Jacqueline Neil
Q: Hello Vince, I’m using Joints for all five of my dogs, however, concerning my chihuahua Luna, can I ask where the hydrolysed collagen in Joints is derived from? I am just in the process of sifting through her supplements in light of her recent Nutriscan results, to avoid beef, turkey and barley. Many thanks
A:

It is hydrolysed bovine collagen. However, this is not necessarily allergenic to a dog sensitive to beef, as the proteins have been reduced to peptides, which in may cases do not provoke an inflammatory response. As always, it's best to trial Joints while keeping the rest of the diet the same, to see what effect it has, for a particular pet. ????

Mary
Q: My Yorkie has had issues with his tummy with bleeding and need to ask if this would be safe for him. The vet couldn't say for sure what caused the bleeding but thinks the steroids he was on for lung issues when he was younger was the cause. He has problems with his knees and hips and a friend recommended this product to help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mary
A:

Hi Mary, Joints contains only 100% natural ingredients which are easy to digest. We've never had any reports of this supplement causing any stomach reactions. Hope this helps.

Sheila Gordon
Q: Hello, can I use this product for a 12 year old cat? Thank you
A:

Yes, you can, all our products are formulated for dos and cats. ????

Rachael
Q: Hi, My dog is 14.5 years old and has bad arthritis. He's had three knee operations (2xACL and 10x fractured patella ) in the last 8 years. He has some heart issues and food allergies but all is under control. He has a fresh fish, vege and quinoa based diet (from Dog Chef). He also has tendonitis in his front elbow. He's 9kg and a King Charles Cavalier crossed with a Poodle. He had been on Librela the last five months but it doesn't seem to work so well now so I've taken him off it and trying an anti-inflammatory. I can give you the name if needed, it's just not with me right now ;) Can you please tell me the ingredients in your joint supplements and if you think your product would be suitable? We live in Paris so also need to know if you can ship here. Kind regards, Rachael and Zak!
A:

Hi Rachael, the ingredients can be found by scrolling down the page and clicking on the + next to the INGREDIENTS heading to expand the composition panel. Yes, we do ship to France, this can be selected from the dropdown list of destinations at checkout. And if you would like individualised advice on supporting maximum mobility (free of charge) email us at info@vincethevet.co.uk and we'll provide a link to a short questionnaire.

Amanda Doorey
Q: I have a westie who had cruciate ligament and luxating patella surgery in November 2022. I need to keep his joints healthy but he won’t always eat his food as he knows there is something in his food. Do you do a liquid version? Many thanks Amanda Ps I am part of the WAG family
A:

Hi Amanda, it's best to give both Joints and the Joint Support plus Recuperation remedy if possible for maximum health benefits. Joints provides the nutritional building blocks the body needs to build and repair muscles, tendons, ligaments cartilage, bone, fibrous supporting tissues and synovial fluid (joint lubricating 'oil'). Joint Support plus Recuperation helps the body's natural regenerative mechanisms repair damaged tissues. Most dogs will happily take the powder mixed into any soft food, such as live plain yoghurt, bone broth, gravy, wet food and similar foodstuffs. The drops can be added to a teaspoon of fresh food such as ham or cheese 3 times daily. Both products can be purchased together as a bundle here for a saving of £6.

Marie Rickwood
Q: Is this product safe to use in a dog with CKD (currently numbers low and good) he also has proteinuria so on Benazacare
A:

Hi Marie, yes it is, as part of a renal support regime.

As always when CKD is present, regular blood monitoring of SDMA, BUN, Creatinine, calcium and phosphorus levels is important, so that diet (including supplementation) can be adjusted if and when necessary to maintain the highest quality of life.

Q: Hi there I am trying to decide which products to get and whether it’s possible to give more than one of your supplements at a time for various issues? I have two 7 year old Ragdoll cats. My boy sadly has IBD. We have also been exposed to mold and I think he is affected as am I. We are not on raw yet but I am trying. He is on some homeopathic medicines which have helped. There is still some sickness and occasional diarrhoea. My holistic vet says he doesn’t need any extra vitamins but I am sure home cooking destroys a lot of the vitamins and he recently tested low for folate. He has done well with liquid homeopathic drops but powders must be introduced incredibly slowly. He has also shown some urinary issues but only in testing not in observing him in the litter box. One of your customers said vitality helped her IBD cat. Would really appreciate your thoughts on whether this would be my best option. Other cat (female) may have arthritis- she is struggling to get a poo out in one go. She uses 3 litter trays and sometimes there is just paw prints. Both normal vet and holistic vet say it is not a constipation or digestion issue. Was going to try the joints supplement for her? She has just started on moxxor, so not sure if she could have both products together? My apologies for long message, we really are all in a pickle and would appreciate any help you can give.
A:

Hi Sue,

All our products are designed to complement each other, so that they can be combined in whatever way is best for a particular pet, to support optimum health and quality of life. And if any advice is ever needed on what to choose and how to do this, we are always more than happy to help.

The most important thing when supplementing the diet of a pet with health issues of any kind, is to only introduce one at a time, and to start with just a 1/4 teaspoon or so initially. Then, if all is going well, the amount can slowly be increased over the following weeks until the suggested daily level is being given (divided between meals).

This is gentle on the digestive system and also avoids a pet being put off their food because it smells or tastes unusual. It's also the best way to confirm that a supplement suits a dog or cat, and is healthy and nutritious to give long-term.

With regards to Vitality, most dogs and cats need multivitamin, mineral and trace element supplementation these days because the food chain is not as rich in these as it used to be. In addition to this, the level of nutrients the body needs to stay healthy in the face of modern day stress and pollution is much higher. Adding Vitality to the diet helps to bridge this gap, by making sure that essential micronutrients which need to be present in the diet each day (because the body can't store or manufacture these for itself) are supplied. This is even more important when there is evidence that the digestive tract is not assimilating nutrients from food effectively - which is often the case when blood folate and B12 levels are low.

IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) as you know, is a descriptive term rather than a specific diagnosis, which means that various parts of the digestive tract are inflamed for some reason. This can be due to dietary sensitivities, parasitic infections, autoimmune diseases and a range of other conditions. It is best to work with your vet to address these and other possible underlying causes for the best possible results.

Such an approach typically includes the following:

  1. Identifying and avoiding dietary allergens.
  2. Supporting the gut microbiome with prebiotics (Digestion) and probiotics that have proven to be effective.
  3. Ruling out worm infections as a contributory factor - which can be done with this kit.
  4. Providing a rich supply of essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements in an easy to digest and assimilate form, such as Vitality.

Joints is the supplement of choice for maximising flexibility and mobility.

When stiffness is severe and / or long-standing, giving Joint Support too, further eases discomfort and aids ease of movement.

These can be bought as a bundle here.

Both Joints and Joint Support are safe to use alongside any other natural products, and medication prescribed by vets.

Q: Is this available in Canada?
A:

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry. We do ship to Canada. You can order direct through this website.

Lauren
Q: Hello. Are you able to provide a more detailed analysis of the ingredients used and the quantity within the product? Many Thanks Lauren
A:

Hi Lauren,

The ingredients are listed on the products page, and are our own, unique Veterinary Formula blend of:

Hydrolysed Collagen, organic Kelp, Bromelain from pineapples (corn starch used as a carrier) and Hyaluronic Acid.

Jane
Q: I have very recently started using the digestive drops and I have come back to get some more and some other ranges but I am very confused as I can’t see any drops and the alternative products - I can’t tell are they powder or pills? My dogs are very fussy with both so I was hoping to get drops.
A:

Hi Jane, all the remedies are in liquid form.

These are supplied in 50ml dropper bottles, so that a few drops can simply be added to food as directed.

The supplements are all powders, and are supplied in small and large tubs of the specified weight in grams. The appropriate amount can be mixed into any wet meals.

If you scroll down to the heading 'THE DETAILS' on the left hand side of each product page, and click on the + to expand the hidden panel, the information about the make up of each supplement or remedy can be found there.

Andrienne Vasquez
Q: Hi , I am looking for a joint supplement for my 8 year old labradoodle that weighs 40kg . She has TTA surgery last year so has a metal plate in her knee . She has arthritis in this knee . Is this something she can have long term ? My dog has just recovered from a stomach ulcer caused by meds. I’m started her on Youmove but it upsets her tummy and the GLM powder makes her itch . Is this gentle on her tummy and if so is it double the dose to start ? Thank you
A:

Good morning Andrienne, thank you for your enquiry.

Joints is the perfect supplement in these circumstances. It provides the body with the nutrients it needs to build and repair ALL joint structures, including muscles, tendons, ligament, bones, fibrous tissues, cartilage and joint lubricating 'oil'. It is very gentle on the stomach, and there is no need to give double the amount to begin with. Improvements in joint comfort and mobility are typically seen in within a few weeks. If there is still a need for additional relief after a month, giving the Joint Support remedy alongside Joints, soothes sore tissues and further aids ease of movement.

For more information on aiding recovery following ACL rupture, take a look at this blog.

Bev Ogden
Q: Hi there I’ve been using some of your powders for a while with great results so I’m now trying the remedies with my extremely anxious, reactive, hyper vigilant cocker cross. He is very head shy so putting on his gums is a no no. Is it ok to add to his raw food or does it need to be given away from meals? Is it ok to add on a small treat? Thank you so much Bev
A:

Hi Bev, thank you for your enquiry. And wonderful to hear you've seen such fabulous results with our supplements. Would love you to email further details of the benefits seen to info@vincethevet.co.uk along with some pictures of your boy to share! ????

Yes, it's fine to give the Ultimate Anxiety remedies in raw, or on a small tit-bit. It also helps to add a little to drinking water daily and sprinkle on bedding. This short video explains how they work, and advice on getting the best results. Do keep us posted!

Marie Barrow-Heath
Q: Can this be taken along with Yumove (joint plus)?
A:

Hi Marie, yes it can as it is a completely different formulation.

Many of our customers also find that after a month on Joints, if a significant improvement in mobility is seen, they are able to continue with Joints alone, without any loss of benefits. Do let us know how you get on.

Naomi
Q: Can you give a breakdown of levels of active ingredients in mg, ie glucosamine, chondroitin etc?
A:

The composition can be found by scrolling down the left hand side of the product page and clicking on the + next to INGREDIENTS to open the data panel.

Joints does not contain glucosamine or chondroitin, as these largely target joint cartilage, whereas Joints provides the building blocks for ALL joint structures, including cartilage, bone, muscles, tendons, ligaments, fibrous tissues and joint lubricating 'oil', And this is why it is so effective at aiding maximum mobility and flexibility. It also supports whole body musculoskeletal health.

You won't see any components listed in mg because Joints is a 100% natural supplement composed of a unique blend of whole foods and whole food extracts. When you see the amount of ingredients in mg, such as glucosamine, for example, it is because they are synthetically manufactured in large scale industrial plants.

Damien Lander
Q: Hi, I have two dogs 8kg and 28kg, small one is overly active and no visible issues with her previous knee surgeries from 6 years ago, 28kg had knee surgery 3 months back and is having problems since, atm she has a clicky knee. So I’m hopeing this stuff helps. How much would I need to buy to supply both dogs on a monthly basis please? Thank you.
A:

Hi Damien, thank you for your enquiry.

The optimum dose of the Joints powder is 1 teaspoon per 10kg daily, divided between meals. And so you would be using just under 4 teaspoons daily - 1 for the smaller dog, and 3 for the larger girl. A 400g tub supplies approximately 100 teaspoons, and so would last around 4 weeks (25-28 days). The Joint Support remedy, would last 6 months or more, as the dose is only 2-3 drops 3 times daily, regardless of size. And these can be added to food, and drinking water.

We hope this helps, and do let us know how you get on.

Dawn Patterson
Q: My 4 y.o. Spinone has a suspected partial cruciate tear which the vet is treating with medication and careful on-lead exercise. Would the joint remedy be safe to use alongside medication or should I wait until he’s finished the prescribed course? Ps I ordered the joint support powder last week not realising that you do a combined package so I’ve given myself a good slapping for not noticing!
A:

Hi Dawn, thank you for your enquiry.

Yes, all our supplements and remedies are safe to use alongside any medication prescribed by vet. And the sooner they are started the better when any injury has occurred. Guidance on how to provide the best possible nutritional support following cruciate ligament damage can be found here.

Nikki King
Q: Is this a powder or liquid form as my dog will not take tablets? Thanks
A:

Hi Nikki, it is a powder which is easily mixed into any wet food. This can either be the main meals, or an alternative such as plain live, yoghurt, bone broth, unsalted natural gravy, or something similar.

Sheila
Q: Do you ship to the USA?
A:

Hi Sheila, yes we do. USA can be selected as the delivery destination from the drop down postcode list at checkout,

Hayley Cawkwell
Q: Can you advise the ingredients of the joint supplement and also how it compares to the likes of riaflex, Yumove advance
A:

Hi Hayley, the composition of Joints can be found under 'INGREDIENTS' on the left hand side of the product page as you scroll down, and is our own, unique Veterinary Formula blend of: Hydrolysed Collagen, organic Kelp, Bromelain from pineapples (corn starch used as a carrier) and Hyaluronic Acid.

It is a completely different formulation from any other product available, and successfully helps 94% of pets (based on the number of 4 and 5 star customer ratings). In our experience (Dr. Vince specialised in orthopaedic surgery for 3 years) Joints is the most effective nutritional support for maximum mobility available.

I Roper
Q: Is the collagen from marine or bovine sources?
A:

Hi, the collagen is bovine in origin.

Kathy
Q: Hi Vince Could you tell me what is in your joint supplement please? Thanks
A:

Hi Kathy,

The composition can be found by scrolling down the page and clicking on the + next to INGREDIENTS to expand the panel.

Joints is our own, unique Veterinary Formula blend of: Hydrolysed Collagen, organic Kelp, Bromelain from pineapples (corn starch used as a carrier) and Hyaluronic Acid.

Hope this helps! ????

Pamela
Q: Hi I can remember asking regarding this item a few weeks ago but can't find my email to go back and look at... My labrador 6½years young has started getting stiff after running/long walks would it benefit her both of these item or just 1 and which 1 also how do I give it to her and how much she's very picky about new stuff in food and always sniffs it 1s, she does have allergies and weights is 29.8kg she is on a diet 2 loose 3kg as recommended by vet
A:

Hi Pam, if you scroll down the list of Previous Answers on the Joints 400g product page (underneath the button you used to ask this question) you will see our reply there.

Have also just forwarded this by email.

Jacqui Burton
Q: I have been giving this to Yoshi for about a month and he doesn't like it added to his food - do you do a liquid/drops version of this? PS I also buy the Joint Support Drops for which he has no problem with.
A:

Hi Jacqui, the following methods work well for most dogs who are reluctant to take a powdered supplement in food:

1. Mix into wet foods given alongside main meals, such as live, plain yoghurt, bone broth or natural unsalted gravy.

2. Add a little warm water to the raw before feeding, to make mixing the supplements in more palatable.

3. Put the powder into empty capsules which can much more easily be disguised in food and appropriate treats (eg home-made meatballs). This can be done using this device or one similar.

Do let us know how you get on.

Maria Black
Q: Can I give the joint supplement and also give my dog vet prescribed medication?
A:

Hi Maria, Joints is safe to use alongside any medication prescribed by a vet. Many pet parents find that after supplementing with Joints for a month (in conjunction with Joint Support drops if stiffness is severe) they are able to reduce the dose of drugs, and in some circumstances, discontinue them altogether. Joints and Joint Support can be bought together as a bundle for a saving of £8 here. Do let us know how you get on.

Serena
Q: Will this be good for a 9 month flatcoat with elbow dysplasia. He is on Yumove + green lipped muscle. He weighs 30kg, what dose would he need. He also has medication.
A:

Hi Serena, yes it would.

https://vimeo.com/662566530

This bundle would be even better. Give one and a half teaspoons of the powder twice daily, and 2-3 drops of the liquid remedy 3 times daily.

Alison Wanstall
Q: Does it contain green lipped mussel?
A:

No it doesn't, as we find the composition of Joints to be far more effective. The full list of ingredients, which can be found on the left hand side of the product page are: a powdered blend of Hydrolysed Collagen (bovine origin), organic Kelp, Bromelain from pineapples (corn starch used as a carrier) and Hyaluronic Acid.

You many also be interested in this bundle which provides even greater benefits.

Fiona Groves
Q: My 11 year old cat, very fit and healthy, is limping with her from left leg. Vet has examined her, there is no sign of injury but possibly arthritis. Would this be a good supplement for her? She weighs around 4.5 kilos. Thank you
A:

Joints is highly effective for supporting maximum mobility and ease of movement in cats, particularly when age-related stiffness creeps in. You will only need the 200g sized tub however, as a little goes a long way. And most cat parents find the powder goes down a treat when mixed in with any wet food, or some yoghurt / milk or something similar.

Anna Michelle Jackson
Q: I would like to know the ingrendiants in the joint supplement, im looking at Riaflex or your product. I have a 4 year old rottweiler which has minor hip issues,so looking for something to support her.
A:

Hi Anna, thank you for your enquiry. The ingredients are listed on the left hand side of the product page as you scroll down, and are: Hydrolysed Collagen (bovine origin), organic Kelp, Bromelain from pineapples (corn starch used as a carrier) and Hyaluronic Acid. Unlike joint supplements which largely rely on chondroitin and glucosamine to help maintain cartilage, Joints provides the nutritional building blocks for ALL musculoskeletal structures, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, joint capsule, cartilage and synovial fluid (joint 'lubricating oil) - which is why it is so effective. Joints also contains only natural ingredients, with no chemical additives of any kind, such as manufactured 'vitamins' such as C and E, and minerals such as manganese. We hope this helps, and do let us know how you get on!

Richard Hudson
Q: Hi Vince, My 38kg Crossbreed (Boxer/Bull Breed) Has a positive allergy IgG to Beef. Will the Hydrolysed Collagen (bovine origin) listed in the ingredients of Joints affect her in any negative ways? She currently receives Cytopoint injections monthly to combat lots of other allergies. Raw fed. Thanks Richard
A:

Hi Richard - great question! Two things to consider here. Firstly, blood tests for food sensitivities are notoriously unreliable, as they frequently return false positive and false negative results. This essentially means that if IgG or IgE suggest a food is reactive, it does not necessarily mean it will cause problems if fed. In fact the opposite could be true, with it being perfectly safe to include in the diet. The same applies to 'negative' results, which may actually cause reactions if given. Secondly, hydrolysed collagen, is significantly less allergenic than the beef protein it originates from, and so rarely causes problems even in genuinely beef sensitive dogs. If you'd like to give Joints a try, and it can't be used because there is a reaction, we'll refund the cost of the supplement for you. Do email me direct with your order number if you decide to go ahead on this basis at info@vincehevret.co.uk The Joint Support included in this bundle, is highly unlikely to cause any issues, given that it employs botanical extracts.

jayne. Charnley
Q: My two dogs are 6 and 5 avd a half. I am giving them riaflex currently and green lipped mussel powder. On my lab does have sensitive stools sometimes, both are raw fed. No stiffness at moment but want to keep them healthy. Riaflex joint supplement my lab stools are sensitive too so only having green lipped at moment and salmon oil. Would your supplement be better? A digestion support what do you suggest?
A:

Hi Jayne, Joints is easier to digest than most supplements because of the hydrolysed collagen it contains. Also it provides the nutritional building blocks the body needs to form ALL musculoskeletal tissues, including cartilage, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, fibrous supporting tissues and joint lubricating 'oil'. Glucosamine and chondroitin on the other hand largely support cartilage only. If you try Joints, you may find a digestive support is not necessary. And if you wanted enhanced joint support at any stage, you can purchase Joints and Joint Support as a bundle here, for a saving of £8.

Jan Mackenzie
Q: Can this be given to dogs who have had hepatitis?
A:

Hi Jan, there's no reason why Joints can't be given in these circumstances, as part of a healthy, balanced diet.

Miss Sarah Falconer
Q: Can I ask how much collagen is in joints , I was sharing this with someone and she asked me
A:

Hi Sarah, we don't disclose the proportions of each component in Joints, as the unique formulation took many, many years to perfect. It's important to bear in mind that the collagen  - although important - is only one element that supports maximum mobility and joint health. The synergy between all 4 ingredients is why this supplement is so effective.
