Q: I started using the Stress Reactivity and Barking drops 3 days ago for our Rumanian rescue pup... how long does it take for them to get in his system? We've had him 5 weeks now and he is improving all the time, but no change, as yet, using the drops. Thank you
A: Hi Claire, it's far too early to expect any results, especially with a rescue dog from abroad.
The information on the product page under 'The Solution' states:
'Used daily for long enough, alongside positive, reward based training, they are highly effective in helping dogs develop new, healthier patterns of behaviour.
NOTE
For long-standing or severe anxiety, reactivity and stress, the remedies typically need to be continued for 3-6 months or more, until improvements become firmly established.'

Q: Hi there I’ve been using some of your powders for a while with great results so I’m now trying the remedies with my extremely anxious, reactive, hyper vigilant cocker cross. He is very head shy so putting on his gums is a no no. Is it ok to add to his raw food or does it need to be given away from meals? Is it ok to add on a small treat? Thank you so much Bev
A: Hi Bev, thank you for your enquiry. And wonderful to hear you've seen such fabulous results with our supplements. Would love you to email further details of the benefits seen to info@vincethevet.co.uk along with some pictures of your boy to share! ????
Yes, it's fine to give the Ultimate Anxiety remedies in raw, or on a small tit-bit. It also helps to add a little to drinking water daily and sprinkle on bedding. This short video explains how they work, and advice on getting the best results. Do keep us posted!

Q: Hi my dog is absolutely perfect….until I have to leave the house, I am never out for too long just shopping and school runs, I take him out with me as much as I can, when I do leave he gets very anxious whimpers and shakes, I have left lots out for him like treats and chicken and he won’t touch until I am home, neighbours have commented on his crying too when I leave, I just came across your products and wondering if they would be any help for him
Thank you
A: Hi Kirsty, the Ultimate Anxiety Relied remedies have helped a lot of dogs in similar circumstances. For the best results they should be used in conjunction with positive, reward based retraining, as described here. Do let us know how you get on.

Q: Isn’t tryptophan a drug? And Valerian a sleeping draught?
A: Tryptophan is an amino acid naturally found in food, and is essential for health.
We use an botanical extract of Valerian only, not a herbal quantity. And this has a calming effect on the limbic system in the brain which is responsible for fight / flight arousal and anxiety. This helps pets relax and feel less stressed without sedation.
Carol Thomas
Q: What is in this?
A: Hi Carol, if you scroll down the page you will see the heading INGREDIENTS on the left hand side. Click on the + sign alongside this to expand the panel. This will show the composition of both remedies:
SOUND SENSITIVE:
Spring water and alcohol (25%) plus extracts of Scutellaria lateriflora, Argentum metallicum, Tryptophan and German chamomile.
FEARS AND ANXIETIES:
Spring water and alcohol (25%) plus extracts of Avena sativa, Passiflora, Valeriana officinalis and Yellow jessamine.
Nicola Ives
Q: My dog has got hypersensitivity....which we / vet only found out whilst her being under on anaesthetic...her vet thinks it has affected all her senses & with it being rare for dogs ...would these work ? She has took gabapentin to calm/ relieve before but the dose for her size ( 5kg ) doesn't affect her at all because of her hypersensitivity....to put it context when being spayed they had to use horse tranquillisers....her sensitivity to traffic noise is immense ! Her anexity is the same !!
A: Hi Nicola, it's impossible to say in advance whether the remedies will help you particular girl, given the degree of sensitivity described. They have however, proved to be very effective for many highly anxious dogs in the past. It is important to be aware that their effects are cumulative, and so the longer they are given (typically 3-6 months or more), the more likely a reduction in reactivity and stress will be seen.
Maria Black
Q: My dog is on your Joints powder is it ok to use Ultimate Anxiety Relief at same time?
A: Hi Maria, yes is is. All our products are designed to complement each other, and so they can be combined in whatever way is best for each pet, to deliver the maximum health benefits.

Q: Hi. I have a rehoming Labrador. He is 16 months old and he is 26kg. I’m thinking to buy the product for anxiety but I would like to know how many daily drops I should give him? And how many drops are 50ml?
Thanks
A: Hi Tamara, the dose is 2-3 drops of both remedies 3 times daily on a morsel of food (easy for most Labradors!). A 50ml bottle typically lasts 6 months or more. You may also find this short video helpful.

Q: How do you give your pets this straight out of the bottle or sprinkled on their food. I'm so sorry if you've already said & I've missed it or it's just a stupid question.
A: No problem at all!
The easiest way to give the drops is on a morsel of food. It is also beneficial to sprinkle a little on bedding and in safe places a pet likes to go when feeling insecure. ????

Q: I'm looking after a 7month puppy for a friend she's had no training or socialisation she scared of noise and traffic because of the fear she doesn't respond to treats when I try to redirect her luckily she is good with people and dogs. Do you think your remedies would help her I was thinking about taking her to training but worried it might overwhelm her. Regards Pat Rogers
A: Hi Pat, Ultimate Anxiety Relief helps many dogs in such circumstances. Given for long enough the remedies reduce anxiety and / or reactivity, and increase receptivity to learning, new healthier patterns of behaviour. For the best results, the remedies need to be given for 3 months or more, alongside positive, reward based training. Do let us know how you get on.
Jeanette Armstrong

Q: My 13 yr old collie suffers with noise anxiety, car doors closing, loud cars or motorcycles, people making too much noise, and she will then put head down, try and bolt for home, (always on the lead because of this) tail between legs and looks terrified. Would this help her in her twilight years?
A:
Give 2-3 drops of both remedies 3 times daily on a morsel of food, and also sprinkle onto bedding and in places your girl likes to go when feeling insecure,
Please note, the effects of the remedies are cumulative, and for this reason they are best continued for as it takes for new, healthier patterns of behaviour to become second nature. For severely reactive dogs, this may take 6 - 9 months or more, as explained in
this short video.
We hope this helps, and do let us know how you're getting on in 6 to 8 week's time, as we may be able to suggest additional measures, if there is still room for improvement.
Nicky Hooper
Q: Would this help with the noise of the recycling day my collie goes nuts with the sound of the bottles etc being thrown in the truck
A: These remedies help to reduce reactivity to noise triggers over time, when used in conjunction with positive, reward based training. It is important however, that they are used for as long as necessary, until the desired new patterns of behaviour have become firmly established.

Q: Hi
My dog has antibiotic responsive IBD. So he is on a low dose daily. Is it ok to take these as well?
Also, do you do a probiotic that doesn't interfere with antibiotics?
Many thanks
A: Hi Sarah, this remedy is fine to use alongside any medication prescribed by your vet - including antibiotics.
We don't supply probiotics (Digestion is a prebiotic), but you might like to look at Bio-Kult.

Q: Hi, I was surprised to see alcohol in the anxiety drops. I thought it was bad for dogs.
I have 2 dogs, 1 of them became reactive to everything after some teenagers let off a loud firework right by us last October. He's also anxious on walks now (for the past 5 months ish) and isn't enjoying his morning walks very much. I've tried several natural calming remedies so far, with very little success. Will your drops be helpful?
A: Hi, the alcohol (which is organic, although not stated on the label) is a necessity as a preservative to ensure the product is sterile. It makes up 25% of the remedy as listed under the ingredients. The volume of the average drop of water is approximately 0.05ml (or 5 hundredths of a ml). 25% or 1/4 of this is alcohol which equals 0.0125 or just over a hundredth of a ml. Added to drinking water as suggested this becomes even more minute - to the point of being undetectable. Several drops added to a morsel of food typically supplies less than 2- 3 hundredths of a ml as the alcohol quickly evaporates. And so the amount of alcohol actually ingested, is miniscule, and of no consequence to pets at all, when used as directed. Ultimate Anxiety Relief is effective for 80% plus of dogs, when used for long enough, alongside positive, reward based training. the only way to know whether it will help your particular dog however, is to trial it. I hope this helps.

Q: Hi
I have a rescued puppy farmed 1yr old Bernedoodle who is very sound sensitive, terrified of strangers and dogs barking in the distance, would these products be suitable for her and how long should I expect the bottle to last her so I know if I can afford to have her on it?
Thank you.
A: This remedy used alongside positive, reward based training helps 80%+ of dogs. A bottle used as directed lasts around 6 months. And if you order over this weekend you can get 20% off using the code on this page - https://www.vincethevet.co.uk/blog/20-off-thank-you-event-2023

Q: I have very recently started using the digestive drops and I have come back to get some more and some other ranges but I am very confused as I can’t see any drops and the alternative products - I can’t tell are they powder or pills? My dogs are very fussy with both so I was hoping to get drops.
A: Hi Jane, all the remedies are in liquid form.
These are supplied in 50ml dropper bottles, so that a few drops can simply be added to food as directed.
The supplements are all powders, and are supplied in small and large tubs of the specified weight in grams. The appropriate amount can be mixed into any wet meals.
If you scroll down to the heading 'THE DETAILS' on the left hand side of each product page, and click on the + to expand the hidden panel, the information about the make up of each supplement or remedy can be found there.

Q: Hi Vince,
Callie is struggling with vet visits and we've gone back to basics with 'happy visits' weekly. I think with lockdown and her spay and constant appointments for skin scrapes, medications and examinations etc, she has become so anxious of the vets and refuses to go in, pulling out of her harness. The vet wants to prescribe trazodone and I have refused. I would like to stay as natural as possible and I wondered if you thought this remedy could help her? If so, how could I give her the dose? We are planning to do a vet visit every week, if not more without appointments just to build up her confidence.
Thank you in advance for your help.
A: Hi Louise, have you used the Ultimate Anxiety Relief pack at all?
Laura Davis
Q: Hi
My nearly 5 yr old rescue French Bulldog suffers with leaky anal gland. He doesn’t scoot or itch it just leaks every now and then. But obviously isn’t pleasant. Would this supplement help ? Or do you have something more specific?
We have had him since he was 2 yrs. He is very reactive towards other dogs so walking him can be very stressful. I have tried many calming supplements and seen behaviourists but they don’t work. Have you any advice please?
Many thanks
Laura
A: Hi Laura, Immunity helps with many anal sac problems in two ways. Firstly, the healthy fibre it supplies encourages more complete emptying, which reduces the likelihood of a build up of secretion that can lead to leaking. Secondly, it supports a healthy immune system, which is important for protecting against infection in that area.
Ultimate Anxiety Relief and Behaviour Improvement, is effective in 80% of dogs when used alongside positive, reward based training. Give 2-3 drops of both remedies 3 times daily on a morsel of food, for as long as it takes for new, healthier patterns of behaviour to become firmly established (typically 3 - 6 months - occasionally longer in very nervous / reactive dogs).
Today I think I saw quite an amazing result from the Fears and Anxieties / Sound Sensitive combo (Ultimate anxiety Relief and Behaviour Improvement Combination Pack).Murphy has many fears and phobias as well as being dog reactive and noise sensitive.?One of his most scary things is fire. Any flame, fire, smoke terrifies him, even if it's not visible. Today he was resting after a walk and a neighbour lit a bonfire in their garden. I had the windows open and the smell of smoke was strong. He woke up, air scented, looked at me,? air scented some more, then put his head back down. He went back to sleep!!!!! Previously if something like this happens he will try to run away, shake in fear, pant excessively etc. I couldn't quite believe what happened or what didn't happen. I was almost in tears of joy! Quite amazing. He's been on them just over a week now.?So from us, a big thank you!
