Our dog has always been a ‘jumper’ – on and off the settee, in and out of the car, on and off our canal boat so it was pretty much a surety that he’d develop arthritis one day. At the age of 11, he developed a limp in a front leg and Vince recommended a PRP (regenerative medicine) injection (rather than just mask the pain of it with Librela). The specialist vet was very positive about Murphy’s condition saying that she’s seen worse arthritis in a four year-old dog. We put that wholly down to the Vince the Vet Joints product that Murphy has been on for some years together with PEA, also one of Vince’s miracle products. As a result, Murphy responded wonderfully to the PRP whilst being supported with Vince’s products, and, after a period of recovery, he’s now back to his usual self - although we have stopped the episodes of jumping!!!

My dog has recently been diagnosed with arthritis in his front leg, it created a limp which was so bad we had to go to the vets and get prescribed M*t*c*m which we wanted to avoid but felt defeated. We had for a number of years used other joint products which were clearly not continuing to work so after a lot of research I found VTV products and contacted Vince to get some advice on what would be best. He advised that the trio of joint supplements shown here would be the best to try. Well......what can i say, 3 weeks later and the limp has gone and it appears he is pain free. It has given my Beagledor a new lease of life without the use of pharmaceuticals. Thank you so much for your quick replies and help in making my boy feel 5 years younger. We are also adding in immunity as he has lots of fatty lumps and warts. Thank you so much again, you have truly made a remarkable product here.

"Earlier this year I was told that my beautiful 7 and a half year old girl, Bella, a black Labrador, had elbow dysplasia with bone fragments that were causing her pain and discomfort. She was limping a lot and starting to not want to go for walks. This was devastating, as Bella lives for her walks as well as having a good play with her other four-legged friends.

I was told that she could have surgery to remove the bone fragments which would also require a four week recovery period of no walks, and also that this operation might or might not help due to her age.

Having known Vince for many years and appreciating how he has helped with my pets health in the past, I asked him for an opinion and he suggested I tried PEA before making the decision with regards to whether to operate or not. (Bella had already been on Vince the Vet Joints for over a year.)

So we tried PEA, and now 4 months later I am over the moon with being able to report that Bella's limp has gone and she is back to loving her walks again. We even managed to climb one of the mountains in Scotland near to where we live, which I thought we would never be able to do again. She had a ball running amongst the heather!

This feels nothing short of a miracle and I am very grateful to Vince for his recommendation for us to try PEA.

Here is a video clip of Bella playing on the beach.

Thank you Vince a million from the both of us!

Q: Hi can the ultimate joint bundle be given to dogs with stage 2 ckd and how long would it last for a 27kilo dog ????
    A:

Yes it can, as part of an overall kidney support regime. Joints and PEA will last around a month, and the remedy approximately 6 months.

    Sue
Q: My working golden retriever has been taking “joints” for 4 years following a carpal joint injury which did heal but has now come back as a front leg limp and overall poor body gait. She is raw fed, always has been and is now 7. She is having acupuncture sessions, started weekly and now monthly but not really improving particularly after off lead exercise. She has arnica 30c regularly and I started CBD oil (I’m a CHC member) so confident with quality and over last three weeks I’ve been increasing drops to now 8 per day, she’s 22kg. My question is could I introduce PEA alongside the CBD? Thank you.
    A:

Hi Sue, yes you can. PEA has wider ranging pain-relieving properties than CBD and has proven highly effective at reducing pain intensity, even when other measures have failed. See this study. Do let us know how you get on.

    Lyndsey Evans
    Q: What is it please.
    A:

This bundle includes 3 products, Joints, PEA and the Joint Support plus Recuperation remedy. Given together they provide the best possible joint care available for stiff dogs, for the reasons explained by clicking on this link.

    Corinne
Q: My dog has been diagnosed with raised liver enzymes, scan showed nothing particular. Now taking Denamarin. Is it safe to add joints and Pea? Or could this affect his liver adversely?
    A:

Yes, it's safe to give Joints and PEA. Also consider giving the Heart plus Liver Support remedy too.

    Justine
Q: Can you advise on dosage please. My dog only weighs 6Kg (toy poodle) but all good with his organ functioning
    A:

PEA - half a capsule daily divided between meals (the 2 ends easily slide apart so the powder can be mixed in food. Joints - half a teaspoon daily divided between meals. Joint Support and Recuperation 2- 3 drops twice daily on a teaspoon of fresh food.

    Gloria Hall
Q: Do you do a smaller bundle of pea joint
    A:

Hi, the PEA comes in bottles of 90 capsules, and this is the only size available. For a medium sized dog the dose is one capsule twice daily for 12 weeks and then, if there has been a good response, reduce to half a capsule twice daily to see if this is sufficient for maintenance. Do let us know how you get on. ????

Q: Hi there, my 12 year old border collie has severe arthritis in his right forearm wrist. He's currently on collegen, turmeric nutriquin +. If I was to buy the bundle would I need to continue with the above alongside the bundle? Tried Librella but have since read the side effects so stopped, didn't see much improvement anyway. Many thanks in advance
    A:

If you give all 3 products in Ultimate Joint Support you won't need to give collagen or any other joint supplements.

    Malcolm harbottle
Q: My westie had cruciate ligament op he as bad arthritis what do you suggest vet prescribed libella
    A:

Hi Malcom, given the severity of the joint issues described the best option in these circumstances is the Ultimate Joint Support bundle for the reasons explained here. This provides maximum support for joint comfort and mobility. Do let us know how you get on.

    diane richard
Q: Would this help my 7 year old rat terrier mix with stage 4 luxating patella. He has trouble walking sometimes.
    A:

Hi Diane, yes it will. PEA will help to reduce any pain or inflammation present in the affected joint(s). Joints will help the body maintain healthy joint tissues, including cartilage, and improve lubrication of the articular surfaces. Joint Support plus Recuperation aids the natural self-repair mechanisms. All together Ultimate Joint Support will maximise mobility and slow down the degenerative changes which typically occur with this condition.

    Jaimi
Q: Hi, my 9 year old Hungarian Vizsla has arthritis in one of her front elbows and I’m seeing stiffness in her back legs now too - although I don’t know if this is overcompensation for the painful elbow. She has had 3 surgical procedures for the elbow but nothing has worked long-term and our vet says they can do no more (except Librella and we’re not going there!) I give my girl salmon oil and your green-lipped muscle capsules but have recently got her back on Metacam because she’s really limping and had started to show less interest in walks/become less active around the house. My question is with the joint support bundle, could I keep her on the meds? And would I carry on with the salmon oil and GLM as well or would I need to stop these? I also give her milk thistle to support /liver function while on meds. Thanks
    A:

Hi Jaimi, yes you can give the Ultimate Joint Support supplements alongside any medications prescribed by your vet. And if you give these, GLM is unnecessary as it is superfluous to requirements. A healthier source of omega 3 to support the body's anti-inflammatory pathways is this algal oil from Time Health which is not exposed to all the chemicals, heavy metals and pesticide residues present in the sea as a result of oceanic pollution. Click on this link to learn more.  (NOTE: if you enter the code vincethevet15 at the checkout on Time Health's website you will receive a 15% discount.) Our Heart plus Liver Support remedy contains milk thistle extract and can be used to support liver function when long term medication of any kind is being given.

Q: Hello, Are the above products suitable for my dog he is currently being treated for protein in his urine it’s only been 4 weeks so he still having tests,my vet has put him on Benefortin but has also recommended Librela injections for stiffness in his back legs he turned 9 in December and is a cocker spaniel,he is not limping and continues to run about as usual so if its arthritis it’s not causing him any bother at the moment,I do not like the sound of the Librela with its side effects so will start him on your products if it’s safe to do so many thanks, Donna
    A:

Yes Ultimate Joint Support would be a far safer option for your dog, and for more than 90% of pet parents when giving these supplements there is no need for Librela (which has been shown can adversely kidney function). I hope this helps, and do let us know how you get on.

Q: Hi, I wa a just wondering how long this will last for a 25kg dog. Also have you got any 2.5% CBD oil I can also add to this? Sorry for the questions, my lad is 16 now so I kind of get the feeling this is his last roll of the dice, he’s seen a holistic vet for years but the vets become pragmatic and said run Librela with the CBD oil, my bestie had a dog that died four weeks after his first injection.. Thanks people, enjoy the day.
    A:

Hi Matt, no problem re the questions - that's what we're here for! The Joints 400g tub typically lasts around 6 weeks when giving two and a half teaspoons daily, divided between meals. A bottle of PEA (90 capsules) will last 6 weeks giving one twice daily initially, but can be reduced by half after 12 weeks to see if a lower dose is sufficient for maintenance. And if this is the case a bottle will last 3 months. The Joint Support plus Recuperation remedy usually lasts approximately 6 months when giving 2 - 3 drops 3 times daily on a teaspoon of fresh food (not kibble). Do let us know how you get on. ????

Q: Hi, I am hoping to support our pony 400/500kg who is now 5 months post op from a ligament issue. Her rehab has not been very promising with her resting the leg now and reacting badly to being asked to hack out which may indicate pain. So my question is do you think its any good starting these now? I also cant seem to find a list of ingredients for each product please may I have those. And finally would the doses for ponies/ horses be included on the packaging? Many thanks Naomi
    A:

Q: My 17 lb, 12 year old Westie has Spondylosis and recovering from a torn cruciate ligament. She also has allergies. She has been on Joint Support and Recuperation and has done really well (also on Gabapentin). I'm looking at the bundle with PEA, Joints and the Joint Support - but financially it's difficult. If I could only afford two of the products, which would you recomment? Thank you!
    A:

Hi, given the recent injury, Joints would be the better option, as this provides a rich supply of nutrients to support musculoskeletal tissue regeneration and repair. Do let us know how you get on.

Q: I have a raw-fed 10.5 year old female Labrador. She has generally been very healthy ( apart from one episode of pancreatitis caused, I think, by boarding kennels feeding her kibble instead of her raw food). However, she has always had itchy skin and weepy eyes, there all year but worse in the summer. She hasn’t seemed to be affected by stiffness, but once or twice recently I have noticed a slight limp which disappears almost within hours and may not return for weeks. The vet prescribed Apoquel for the itchy skin which she had for a month. It stopped the scratching but when we stopped the medication it returned. I don’t want to give her any more Apoquel and I wondered if trying PEA would be worthwhile. I try to give her only natural/herbal preparations and purchased a herbal remedy containing boswellia. Given that the limp is very intermittent, it’s difficult to know if the Boswellia is is doing any good. None of the herbal remedies for itchy skin that I have tried have made any difference except perhaps for some initial cooling relief. My question is: should I try PEA, largely for the skin allergy problem and possibly to help also with any joint pain? Should I try PEA alone or also add in Joint Support? If I also gave her Joint Support, should I stop the Boswellia? I would very much appreciate any advice you can give. Many thanks Carolyn
    A:

Hi Carolyn, at this stage it would be best to supplement with PEA and the Insect plus Itch Relief remedy for 12 weeks as outlined here. If you let us know how things are going at that stage we can advise on the next steps.

    Kate Moore
Q: Hi, We have been told that Our 10 year old Collie has cruciate ligament damage and they have advised that he needs surgery - TPLO surgery. I did ask whether a suture technique op could be done instead, as less invasive, but they said that in their opinion, the TPLO is the most effective way to solve this problem. Is the bundle supposed to be used as an alternative to surgery, and can this really help with lameness ongoing? Thank you
    A:

Ultimate Joint Support aids recovery from cruciate ligament injury whether surgery is carried out or not, for the reasons explained here. Used long term it helps to delay the onset of arthritis as outlined here.

    Donald MACDONALD
Q: Would this help a human with arthritis in the hip and knee
    A:

Yes, they are of great benefit in most cases. Joints - 2 teaspoons twice daily mixed into yoghurt, a smoothie, milk, soup, porridge or similar foods. PEA - 2 capsules twice daily. Joint Support plus Recuperation - 2 - 3 drops 3 times daily. Do let us know how you get on.

Q: Hi, I am a 54 year old woman and suffer with arthritis. I had my right hip replaced on 1/5/25 and still recovering and very wonky due to issues with the muscles and ligamentsin my back and pelvis from walking unevenly while waiting for my hip operation. I take natural supplements from Natures best and have just been looking at Cytoplan supplements. I am vegetarian which limits my choices. Are any products in this bundle suitable for me? I have Ridgebacks aged 7 & 8 who are fed raw and fit and healthy and have been on joint supplements for the last few years. I want us all to keep going and living out best lives for as long as possible!!
    A:

The best option for your Ridgebacks is Ultimate Joint Support for the reasons explained here. As you are a vegetarian, and Joints contains bovine derived collagen, you could take the PEA (2 capsules twice daily) and Joint Support plus Recuperation remedy (2 - 3 drops 3 times daily) as these are made from plant extracts. Do let us know how you get on. If you'd like to give these a try enter the code £5SEP2025 at checkout to receive a £5 discount (valid until September 30th 2025).

Q: How long would this product last for a 30kg Labrador ? Only because cost is a consideration.
    A:

Giving 3 teaspoons of Joints daily, divided between meals, a large (400g) tub would last approximately one month.

Giving 2 capsules of PEA twice daily a bottle of 90 capsules would last just over 3 weeks. (NOTE - after giving this amount for 12 weeks, you can try reducing to one capsule twice daily going forward to see if this is sufficient for maintenance.)

Giving 2 - 3 drops of Joint Support plus Recuperation twice daily, the liquid will last around 6 months.

NOTE: if you order the products individually next weekend instead of the bundle you can get 15% off using the code that will be displayed on our blog page.

    Lisa Mackenzie
Q: Hi Vince and Team 5.5 year old Rottie Khalisee and I have been customers of yours all her life. Last year she sustained an injury to her toe/metatarsal whilst playing on rough terrain. This lead to inflammation of the dorsal area of her front paw. After a visit to the vet (he treats as holistically as he can in a conventional veterinary practice) she was on metacam and only allowed 5 minute toilet walks for 2 weeks. With this the lameness went and the swelling reduced but not fully. She has been left with a permeant hard but slightly movable bump on the middle metatarsal (she allows me to massage it). Our 2-4 mile daily walks off lead and play (ball, training and flirt stick) cause her no problem but once per week myself and friends all take our 5 dogs out together. Occasionally, the day after these high energy off lead runs and rough play she goes lame on the affected foot again. For fulfilment purposes I do not want to stop these sessions or have her on the lead but I also don’t want to having to give her medication or reduce walks every time either. Do you feel that the PEA or joint supplements would help in this instance or would you advice I stop these sociable off lead runs completely, in fear of doing permanent damage? Warm regards Lisa MacKenzie
    A:

The best nutritional support option in these circumstances is Ultimate Joint Support  for the reasons explained here. Supplementation should always be coupled with a healthy exercise regime which does not result in any aggravation of inflammation or discomfort - especailly the day after any activitiy.

    Catherine
Q: Hi. I have a 10 year old border collie with chronic osteoarthritis in both his hips (he hasn't had xrays). It's been managed up until now with a course of 4 cartrophen injections every 6 months followed by monthly cartrophen injections, loxicom, riaflex green lipped muscle, tri-weekly physiotherapy and he is currently having weekly hydrotherapy sessions. But non of it seems to be helping anymore and he's getting stiffer and stiffer, he's now only having very short walks a couple times a day. He would walk further but I don't like to put too much strain on him. We've just reviewed his medication at the vets - I refuse to give him librela - and am now switching him from the loxicom and trying him on previcox/pardale. He's always been very active, ball, frisby, agility etc etc etc so I think maybe he's had an injury in the past and I wasn't aware of it... I was wondering if you would recommend this bundle and would it be safe to use alongside his medication? Thank you.
    A:

The best joint support option in these circumstances is Ultimate Joint Support for the reasons explained here.

These are safe to use alongside any medication prescribed by your vet. NOTE: there is no need to give any other joint supplements when giving the Ultimate Joint Support Bundle. And if you let us know how things are going in 12 week's time, we can advise further. In the meantime the best exercise regime in these circumstances is frequent short periods of activity on soft, level ground such as grass, sand, woodland walks etc as opposed to walking / running on pavements / concrete and similar hard surfaces which jar sore / sensitive joints. Also useful for gauging whether a day's activity is beneficial for maintain healthy muscle mass, tendon / ligament strength and flexible joints rather than aggravating degenerative joint disease, is to judge how a pet is the day after exercise / play. If stiffness / lameness / discomfort is worse, the amount of activity should be cut back until a level is found which doesn't cause issues 24 hours later. This typically involves walks on joint-friendly surfaces 3 -4 times daily for 10 - 15 mins or so, to help maintain musculoskeletal health without risking making matters worse.

Q: My westie is 8 yrs old ( 9 in June ) & is showing signs of effort in her legs towards the end of walks. Our previous westie had vets kitchen glucosamine when she started to show stiffness & it resolved it well but as my present westie has some teeth trouble I don’t want to risk sugary remedy for her. Our older schnauzer is doing well on youmove & I have offered this to our westie but she won’t eat the tablets. Do you have a liquid non sugar option ? Many thanks Joanna
    A:

The best option in these circumstances is is Ultimate Joint Support for the reasons explained here. (These are safe to use alongside any medication prescribed by your vet.) The powders can easily be mixed into a little flavoursome wet food such as plain live yoghurt, saltless gravy, bone broth, cream cheese, milk (if dairy tolerant) etc (The ends of the PEA capsules can easily be slid apart to enable the powder to be tipped onto food.)

    Anna
Q: Why do you recommend not giving joint plus recuperation on kibble.
    A:

It's quickly absorbed in the biscuit and spends less time in contact with the buccal mucosa, which is an important part of stimulating the body's natural regenerative and self-repair mechanisms.

    Amanda Clinton
Q: My vet thinks my dog has either ivdd or degenerative myelopathy they want to send him to a neurologist but he has a grade 5 heart murmer would your products help

Q: Just double checking, my collie is currently on ultimate joint support bundle (and I think I'm starting to see a slight improvement after 3 weeks ????) he's also on previcox. I bought some milk thistle from the vets last visit, and I want to make sure it's OK to give alongside the supplements? Thank you, Catherine.
    A:

Hi Catherine, yes it's fine to give Ultimate Joint Support alongside milk thistle and any medication prescribed by your vet. If you let us know how things are going after 12 weeks on the joint supplements we can advise further if needed.

    James Thompson
Q: Can I give these remedies to my dog all at the same time?
    A:

Hi James, yes you can, the supplements are specially formulated to complement each other perfectly. Do let us know how things are gopin in 12 week's time.

Q: I have a 7yr old cross breed rescue with suspected IVDD early stages and been told strict rest is needed along with gabapentin and metacam for pain relief. She is raw fed, on OxyPet water and has green lipped mussel powder on her evening meal. She is also epileptic and medicated with Soliphen and Epilease, would these supplements help with the IVDD and be suitable with her current meds and epilepsy? Thanks
    A:

Hi Christa, yes these supplements are highly beneficial in these circumstances for the reasons explained here. And they are fine to give alongside any medication prescribed by your vet. Also when giving these you would no longer need to supplement with GLM. If you let us know how things are going after 12 weeks on the above, we can advise further.

BUNDLE SAVING OF £81 x Joints 400g large1 x Joint Support plus Recuperation 50ml1 x PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) 90 x 400mg capsulesCLICK HERE TO DISCOVER WHY ULTIMATE JOINT SUPPORT IS SO EFFECTIVE"Earlier this year I was told that my beautiful 7 and a half year old girl, Bella, a black Labrador, had elbow dysplasia with bone fragments that were causing her pain and discomfort. (Bella had already been on Vince the Vet Joints for over a year.)So we tried PEA, and now 4 months later I am over the moon with being able to report that Bella's limp has gone and she is back to loving her walks again. We even managed to climb one of the mountains in Scotland near to where we live, which I thought we would never be able to do again. She had a ball running amongst the heather! This feels nothing short of a miracle and I am very grateful to Vince for his recommendation for us to try PEA.Here is a video clip of Bella playing on the beach.Thank you Vince a million from the both of us!
