Care for your pet like Vince the Vet

Genie has itched badly since she was 8 months old, when she needed treatment for both ear and skin infections.

Following investigations she had a year of immunotherapy injections, which didn't help.

She was prescribed Atopica for a while and then Apoquel which she has been on for most of her life since she was one year of age. Genie has also been taking Immunity and Insect plus Itch Relief remedy for the last year.

The red flare ups happen throughout spring and summer when she spends time outdoors, and also occasionally in winter too.

Since starting PEA there hasn't been any bad flare ups and she's been outside a lot.

The change in her skin from June 2024 when she was on 5.4mg Apoquel daily (this photograph)

and now (photograph below) when she is only having an occasional Apoquel (about once a week) is dramatic.

"I'm hoping they can completely stop soon."

NOTE

If your dog suffers from a sensitivity to environmental allergens it's worth trialling PEA for 12 weeks to see if can help, given it has been shown in a clinical study to significantly reduce itching in 2 out of 3 atopic dogs.
